Copy House & Mailbox Keys

We can duplicate most house and /or mailbox key models.

For the most popular types of house keys (KW-1 or SC-1), we have a variety of designer keys to make it easy to identify. These colorful keys are more expensive than the regular kinds (brass or nickel). Therefore, we strongly suggest that you only choose that option if we are copying from master keys.

Master keys are identified by the presence of an engraved series of numbers (usually 5 or 6 numbers) located on the head of the keys. These numbers are codes for the depth of each cut on the key. The higher the number, the deeper the cut is. See this link to know more are keys: What Do The Numbers On My Key Mean
If you do not have a master key available to make the duplicates, we do not recommend that you invest in those more expensive styles of keys. Making simple brass keys and putting a key color coded identifier ring around the head is a more economical option.

Only copies of keys made from master keys are guaranteed to work. Copies of copies cannot be guaranteed and are not refundable. If we cut keys from a master and the copies don't work, we will try again up to 3 times at no extra charge. If they still don't work, we will give you a full refund.

We also have a variety of key chains and accessories available at the store.

Keys are made while you wait. It take us about 1 minute each...

Also note that WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS for less than two keys.

Changing Watch Battery 50 KB

Watch Batteries

We can change the batteries for most watches you bring us. If we can open the cap, we normally can change the battery.
We DO NOT make any repairs on mechanical issues or on rechargeable watches. Wwe only change regular watch batteries
We sometimes can help with some adjustments on leather bracelets (like punching extra holes or gluing) but we do not mess with metallic links or rubber bracelets.

We usually do the work for the day after (never the same day or while you wait). This is work that requires for us to pay full attention to what we are doing. We should not be distracted with all sort of things happening around us with constant interruptions... We work on them when we close the store at night or before we open in the morning.
Some watches have two batteries. When it is the case, we will take a picture of the inside to show you that we changed both batteries. Of course, the price would be adjusted accordingly.

We test all batteries that we take out from your watches to make sure that they truly need to be changed. Sometimes the batteries are still good but the watch don't work. When that happens we do not change the battery. We close the cover and we tell you to take it for repair. The issue is mechanical, not electrical... Obviously, we will not charge you for our service.

Cover Pillows & Cushions

Sometimes you realize your patio furniture doesn't look like it used to. The sun bleaches the colors away and the intense heat dries out the thread that holds everything together.

Bring us some fabric, your cushions and pillows to have them recovered. You don't need any other supplies. We have zippers, cording and everything else needed to do that type of work.

Prices are given when we see the work involved with your project. Not all cushions and/or pillows are made the same way. Some cushions have odd shapes which makes it harder to do. Therefore, the price would be higher for these pieces. The size of the cushions also has a big impact on the pricing. The only way to know the final price is for us to do our assessment. Even if you sent us pictures, we wouldn't be able to appreciate the work involved.

If you have bar stools or kitchen chair cushions to be recovered, we can do those as well. Just bring us the cushions (not the whole chair) and your new fabric and we'll recover them for you.

We usually do all the work within one week. But if we can, we like to get them out of the way quickly because they take a lot of space and we are already pretty limited on the real estate we're working with...

Riding boots & Horse Bridles

These gears are not cheap... So if they can be fixed, it sure is less expensive than having to buy them new again!

We are well equipped and experienced to repair most riding boots and bridles. Patching, restitching, replace zippers, changing snaps, clean and shine, resoling and heeling your riding boots is not a problem for us.

Some shoppes operating near equestrian facilities are very busy and the wait time can be extensive... We can usually do the work within one week. We do all the work in house. We are not a "middle man". We are the central command where things are done by the people you are dealing with.

Don't forget that we can also monogram your saddle pads. No need to schlep for that somewhere else. It is all done under the same "hoof"...

Various Luggage 868 KB

Duffel bags & Backpacks

Duffel bags are usually pretty sturdy and can last a long time. But sometimes, they are handled under rough circumstances. Tough canvas can still be torn and seams can open up when we try to over stuff them with everything we put inside.

Backpacks are the same. Many students use them to carry all their books and school supplies. But most backpacks are not designed to withstand such abuse. Parts break and parts gets worn down. Zipper issues are very common as are the seams holding the straps to the bags. Sometimes, the fabric pulls away from the seams creating some fraying.

Backpacks are not always very expensive. Many times, the repair cost is not worth the investment. It is sometimes cheaper to buy new rather than repairing the items especially when we need to deal with the fraying fabric. To fix this type of problem, we need to open the seams and the piping including the seam binding on the inside... It is not so easy to do as many people think. So please don't chop off our heads when we give you the price of the repair.

On the other hand, larger duffel bags (trunks for camps) are quite expensive. They are usually worth repairing. Holes on canvas can be patched (sometimes with an embroidery, sometimes with canvas or vinyl patches). Straps are usually coming detached and only need to be restitched. We rarely see issues with zippers but it could happen too. We can fix those issues and it is usually worth it.

Bring them in so we can do our assessment and give you a price for the repair. And don't forget that we can monogram them with our embroidery services...

Roller Wheel Luggage 84 KB

Luggage & Carry-on

In all honesty, we don't do much repairs on luggage these days. Not that we don't want to but we simply can't do much anymore.

Manufacturers wised up over the years and figured out that too many of their customers were fixing their luggage instead of buying new ones. Their interests was to keep selling new luggage, not fix them. So they decided slowly to modify various parts of their products and making those replacement parts impossible to find. They stopped making them easily available and locating sources for the right parts became too complicated and time consuming. Prices for repairing went up and manufacturers made them a bit more affordable.

They also made the parts less sturdy and developed them so that they became easily breakable. Just think about the wheel components as an example. They use to be partly recessed in the luggage structure. The were the rolling wheels like the type you could find on roller skates... They were hard to replace but they were usually easy to replace, the parts were available and interchangeable.

But then, they came up with the multi-directional roller wheels that we see prominently today. When they introduced these wheels, they were all the same. one model would fit most luggage styles. No more!...

Now, these wheels are the first parts to break on all luggage. No matter what brand or price you pay your luggage, these wheels are all breaking. It is easy to understand the reason why this is happening.
Yes! They are so easy to use and very practical when traveling. But they are totally exposed. They protrude from the luggage, they are totally exposed and easily knocked off. If you've seen how luggage are handled at airports for an example, you can easily imagine how so many of these wheels gets banged up when another 50 or 60 pounds luggage get thrown on top of it...

All manufacturers are doing it now. They complicated things even more by having different and specific wheels part number according to the style and size. If you bought a set of luggage that came in three sizes, the wheels for the small piece as different from the mid size and the larger size. We even see variation between front and back, left or right... Finding the right parts is gonna take you a few days if you are ever successful. But that is only the beginning... You then need to bring your luggage in for us to install it for you. Sometimes, it is impossible for us to access the area without having to dismantle the whole thing down. You then realize you've wasted you time and energy for no reason because the price to pay is too high and it is just plain better to buy a replacement luggage instead...

We hope you have enough information to guide you before you start your endeavor.
These days, the only things we fix on luggage is mainly related to zippers (whenever that is still possible). If your zippers are broken, there is still a good chance we can repair them. If it is a handle that is broken, there is still a possibility. But we will need to see what the damage is and again, it might not be fixable at an affordable price. If it is an issue with the pull away handle (the telescopic kind), forget it. The pieces that activates the mechanism inside are all made of poor quality plastic parts that easily break. You have no choice but to change the whole pull away handle tubes... Again, it is not worth trying to salvage that. Sometimes those tubes get banged up with the weight of other luggage pilling up of top of it. They bend and they don't go up or down easily anymore. If they are bent, you also need to replace the whole thing. Take our word for it, don't waste your time...

If you have any doubt after reading all this, come on in and let us see if we can help. But be prepared! Come in with low expectations. If we say that we can help and that it is worth it, that will be a bonus for you.
