Why are reviews so important?

"They say happy people don't have stories..."

But we can't honestly verify this statement judging by the number of happy customers who posted reviews here, there and everywhere!

Needed a last minute hem on New Years Eve for my suit and they delivered! I called at 11:15 am and had my pants ready by 1:30 pm. Excellent, speedy service and reasonably priced! Will return in the future!

Josh was a great help! Brought a pair of leather shoes in that had taken a beating and he made them look better than new! He was also very helpful in answering my many questions about caring for my other leather shoes. I also bought a shoe cleaning solvent and some nice polish from him that worked great to treat my other shoes. Also I had my leather jacket tailored by them and they did a great job, couldn't be happier! I believe this local establishment deserves recognition for their good work and customer service.

I had a problem. I was leaving on vacation the next afternoon, and I couldn't fit into my jeans because I have been on steroids for a month for a medical condition. I called them needing two new pair of jeans hemmed and the legs narrowed. I was totally surprised when they said to come right over. It was already 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Because I needed it first thing in the morning, they apologized that they couldn't do both pair that day, but they would guarantee me one by the end of business the same day. I can't say enough about their service and the quality job that they did. The pants were ready by 6 p.m. The alterations were costly, but you get what you pay for! Quality, friendly service, and a smile!

I was totally impressed with the work done to my designer purse...that NO OTHER SHOE REPAIR WOULD TOUCH! It looks just like new and I was so happy not just because I love it but also because the designer is dead. Please go here and find out for yourself that miracles still happen!!!!!

Hi there. I am a physical therapist who just saw a patient who's right sneaker was adjusted to compensate the leg discrepancy that she has due to a left failed total knee replacement. On the bottom of the right shoe was added another layer whose height was measured according with patient's leg discrepancy.First of all the shoe's adjustment was done perfectly and second of all I have not seen this work done anywhere else.. so i am planning to send all my patient in need for shoes height adjustments to you , guys. Good job!

I needed my dress hemmed for ring dance (a military function) and was only in Florida for four days. They got it done in three and Brenda did an amazing job.

Glad I found this place. I needed to get my bridesmaid dress altered because for a short girl like me, all long dresses are too long for me. I went in and they knew what needed to be done. I paid in advance to get the discount and saved some $$ there. It was ready in to pick up the next week and it came out perfect.

The user didn't write a review, and has left just a rating.

Positive reviews are the building blocks of a good reputation

Are reviews really that important?

Predicting the outcome of your transaction

Generally, reading the reviews will usually be giving you a pretty good idea of your degree of satisfaction in an establishment you are not familiar with. Businesses used to count on word of mouth to spread the word around about their products and services to grow in popularity.

That is still true today but we now live in a society where those words are amplified via all the social networks available out there. In a not so far past, it took years to build a reputation and years to destroy it. But now, this is all happening at a much faster speed. In other words, you can say that the message spreads at the fiber optic speed.

There will always be unhappy customer

Sometimes the complaints are fully deserved. In this case, everything should be done to make the necessary corrections to prevent a repetition. On the other hand, a simple look at the user’s overall profile sometimes makes you realize that he/she never has anything good to say about anybody… Unfortunately, they are the ones to always be the first to voice their opinions. They are out to get revenge and to hurt the business at all cost.

Happy customers tend to stay quiet

However, it is well known that “Happy people don’t have stories…”. They very rarely let their happiness spill on the review sites. Consequently, we sometimes remind them that they should let their voice be heard in order to offset the many trolls out there. Most like the idea but only a fraction of them actually make good on their promise to put in their two cents…

Most importantly, if the overall review rating is as high as ours, you can actually be assured that it is indicative of the organization you want to deal with.

By the way, Yelp!, Google reviews, Facebook and Angie’s List are the most used review sites (Wink, Wink). All hopes are that you will let your opinion be heard loud and clear.

Another good reason to give us a positive review…

To tip or not, that is the question

What is the tips etiquette for a seamstress or a shoemaker? We can certainly agree that it isn’t clear to say the least.  On the other hand, we don’t have the same problem when we are dealing with a hair dresser or a waiter. So what is the golden rule then?

Be assured that we will not stop you if you want to reward the workers directly. But in all honesty, they appreciate the reviews much more than monetary tips. It sure is always pleasant to get a little bit of extra cash for a job well done but it is easily forgotten and quickly spent.

Reviews are the best form of flattery

We are specialists in a fading trade. Survival is always the first focus and worry. Above all, our employees appreciate anything that will generate them more work. And the easiest way to make this happen is to simply write a positive review. As a result, the worker will have a durable effect on its business. This type of reward will not only offset the squeaky wheels that do nothing but complain, but it will also insure your service provider will be there when you need them again.

Positive reviews = Food on the table

A few dollar tip will pay for a cup of coffee once maybe. A review will bring food to a whole group of people many times over. The awkwardness that comes with the question to tip or not to tip is easily avoided. Just leave that employee and/or the business a positive feedback. That will generate the traffic they need to make a living out of their talent.
