Why are reviews so important?

"They say happy people don't have stories..."

But we can't honestly verify this statement judging by the number of happy customers who posted reviews here, there and everywhere!

It was nice, I'll let you know more when I pick up my shoes. I just don't like the way the man at the counter rips the sole from the shoe....but then he explained how he has to get rid of the old glue to put fresh glue down & then the show will last vs' just gluing one or two spots & I will be back. $25.00 for a pair if sandals I love. Try not to let your shoes sit in the closet....wear them or they will become dry rot....js..... 🙄😔 I should've taken a before & after pic. I will with Hubbys' shoes. They won't just fix one shoe.....sole is flopping off of 1 not the other. Sorry so lengthy.....update will follow

I needed some alterations for my wedding which is in October so I made an appt to come at the end of August so there was PLENTY of time. Which was totally unnecessary because it only took her one week to finish! I didn't need too much done, but still that's amazing I was expecting much longer. And you have a week after receiving it to go back if there are any issues, not that there was any! Everyone was nice and helpful and it was quick and easy and a fair price too. Definitely recommend getting anything done here, I was nervous to trust just anyone with my wedding dress but she was awesome!

I am getting married in early September and i booked a dress fitting in the end of July. They got me in quickly and told me my dress would take 2 weeks. They had it finished in the time they said even though it was very intricate lace work. I am so happy with the job they did and the care they took with my wedding dress. They were also very reasonably priced and charged me way less than the bridal shop was going to charge me. I highly recommend!!

I brought a gown in to be hemmed. After it was done I felt it was still too long. They were so accommodating and for no additional charge they took the dress up another inch. I was very happy with the dress and their level of service.

They did a great job on my maid of honor dress. They took a ton of material in around my waist and hips to show more curves. They altered the dress very quickly and at a reasonable price.

Josh was a great help asww creatively figured out how to remove a buckle on a pair of boots. After a few exchange of ideas, we came up with a (hopeful) solution. I'll find out Monday when I pick them up. Thanks Josh!

AMAZING!! I brought in my prom dress to get altered and they were super nice and accommodating. It took only a week and they even threw in a mask made of leftover fabric for free. In my opinion, it is fairly priced for the quality work and turnaround time.

5 yo Granddaughter had new off-white patent leather dress shoes for holidays, but sparkly silver buckle broke. They replaced it with similar buckle and had it ready in a few hours. Price was fair. Service was good. Pleasant experience & helpful to accommodate.

If you want to turn the clothes you buy and make it look #goog on you, then I #recommend you go try #HemOverHeels.

They have #friendly services in perfect #English, but they are able to welcome any #FrenchCanadian.

I am customer who is 100% #satisfied.

I have short arms, so the sleeves are always too long. Now, it's like it was made for me. Still a whole lot less expensive then actually getting a whole coat tailored for me.

Maybe you will pay a little more than some other places, but I love my Amazon/Chinese made clothes to look like it was made in the #US or #France!!

I'm worth it! And you should too.

PS: I have no affiliation with Hem Over Heels Inc. I am a happy customer, that's it, that's all!

And for what it's worth, all of those who wonder how a business owner can possibly reply this way I ask you this.

Why not? I would do the same. There are always two sides to a story, and most of us know that customers can be extremely demanding and unfair at times to businesses.

I would absolutely do the same.

I welcome in my home who I choose.
I would welcome in my business who I choose.
My standards, my decisions on how and where my ethics and standards goes are my own.
If I were to lose business over my own doing, it would be my decision.

Thank you so much for the quick turnaround. You guys are lifesaver!

Positive reviews are the building blocks of a good reputation

Are reviews really that important?

Predicting the outcome of your transaction

Generally, reading the reviews will usually be giving you a pretty good idea of your degree of satisfaction in an establishment you are not familiar with. Businesses used to count on word of mouth to spread the word around about their products and services to grow in popularity.

That is still true today but we now live in a society where those words are amplified via all the social networks available out there. In a not so far past, it took years to build a reputation and years to destroy it. But now, this is all happening at a much faster speed. In other words, you can say that the message spreads at the fiber optic speed.

There will always be unhappy customer

Sometimes the complaints are fully deserved. In this case, everything should be done to make the necessary corrections to prevent a repetition. On the other hand, a simple look at the user’s overall profile sometimes makes you realize that he/she never has anything good to say about anybody… Unfortunately, they are the ones to always be the first to voice their opinions. They are out to get revenge and to hurt the business at all cost.

Happy customers tend to stay quiet

However, it is well known that “Happy people don’t have stories…”. They very rarely let their happiness spill on the review sites. Consequently, we sometimes remind them that they should let their voice be heard in order to offset the many trolls out there. Most like the idea but only a fraction of them actually make good on their promise to put in their two cents…

Most importantly, if the overall review rating is as high as ours, you can actually be assured that it is indicative of the organization you want to deal with.

By the way, Yelp!, Google reviews, Facebook and Angie’s List are the most used review sites (Wink, Wink). All hopes are that you will let your opinion be heard loud and clear.

Another good reason to give us a positive review…

To tip or not, that is the question

What is the tips etiquette for a seamstress or a shoemaker? We can certainly agree that it isn’t clear to say the least.  On the other hand, we don’t have the same problem when we are dealing with a hair dresser or a waiter. So what is the golden rule then?

Be assured that we will not stop you if you want to reward the workers directly. But in all honesty, they appreciate the reviews much more than monetary tips. It sure is always pleasant to get a little bit of extra cash for a job well done but it is easily forgotten and quickly spent.

Reviews are the best form of flattery

We are specialists in a fading trade. Survival is always the first focus and worry. Above all, our employees appreciate anything that will generate them more work. And the easiest way to make this happen is to simply write a positive review. As a result, the worker will have a durable effect on its business. This type of reward will not only offset the squeaky wheels that do nothing but complain, but it will also insure your service provider will be there when you need them again.

Positive reviews = Food on the table

A few dollar tip will pay for a cup of coffee once maybe. A review will bring food to a whole group of people many times over. The awkwardness that comes with the question to tip or not to tip is easily avoided. Just leave that employee and/or the business a positive feedback. That will generate the traffic they need to make a living out of their talent.
