Why are reviews so important?

"They say happy people don't have stories..."

But we can't honestly verify this statement judging by the number of happy customers who posted reviews here, there and everywhere!

I have a jumpsuit that was very long and wide leg. I did some research online , checked reviews and decided on Hems over Heels. Dropped off Tuesday and was informed it would be ready the next day. Couldn’t make it on Wednesday and Thanksgiving they were closed. Picked up Friday and I am TOTALLY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS!!! I had the seamstress cut it into shorts and it looks fabulous. Awesome job I’ll definitely be a returning customer. Thank you so much

These guys were my saving grace when a last minute alteration was needed for my stepdaughters bridesmaid dress. The head seamstress was heading out for vacation but stayed late so the dress would be ready super quick which took a lot of stress off me, the future bride! So thankful and appreciative! Excellent job! Reasonably priced! Couldn't be happier!

I was referred to them by a friend for my Christian Louboutin.. they did an amazing job. Always so friendly and helpful. My shoes came out exceptional and now I ho there for all my tailoring needs and shoe protectors. I highly recommend this place. The price is worth it to protect my shoes.

In the past, I would search for places that were on the cheaper side of alterations but I’d always end up disappointed in the work (I’m short, so I frequently need things adjusted). I found this place on google and I was a little weary because of the owner’s responses to bad reviews. However, they did an incredible job on the items I brought to their store. I can’t even tell where the corrections were done, it is so seamless! If there is another place in town that competes to what I received, I’d be surprised. Sometimes the extra penny is worth the good quality work and I’ll definitely be coming back (:

Friendly and kind service. A bit overpriced. I guess I come from Vegas where this kind of service does not cost as much. But the business is close to my home, lots of parking, and great customer service!

Hem over Heels does and excellent job fixing and cleaning shoes and boots. Everything came back in amazing condition. And their prices are reasonable. I recently had them hem pants and they did a great job on that, as well. I'm glad I found them. I have been looking for a reasonably priced shoe repair store that does great work for a long time, and finally found it!

I just recently moved to the area and didn't really know where to take my jeans to get a button sewn back on. I brought them in to Hem Over Heels when I got off work at 6, hoping to have them for an event the next day but also knowing that they closed at 7. They were extremely kind and helpful and got the button sewn on perfectly and in time for me to pick them up before they closed that day. They took an extra step to help me out even when it wasn't necessary and the quality of their work is supreme.

I am very pleased with the work that is done here. I am a newbie to Florida so as any other profession I needed to find someone to alter my clothing. I am short so everything is long on me. I had work uniforms to alter and the lovely women who did them did an amazing job. She listened and does exactly what I ask for. You don't need an appt you can walk in and try your clothes on and she will pin them right away. Price doesn't matter to me when you get what you ask for. As for everyone that complains about price keep this in mind .... seamstress work is a skill and a talent! Would you like someone to tell you what your skill is worth? I don't think anyone would appreciate that at all. We all take pride in what we do or we wouldn't do it. They give you a receipt of what you are going to pay before you leave so there are no surprises. This is my second visit and I would like to thank hem over heels for a great service !

Positive reviews are the building blocks of a good reputation

Are reviews really that important?

Predicting the outcome of your transaction

Generally, reading the reviews will usually be giving you a pretty good idea of your degree of satisfaction in an establishment you are not familiar with. Businesses used to count on word of mouth to spread the word around about their products and services to grow in popularity.

That is still true today but we now live in a society where those words are amplified via all the social networks available out there. In a not so far past, it took years to build a reputation and years to destroy it. But now, this is all happening at a much faster speed. In other words, you can say that the message spreads at the fiber optic speed.

There will always be unhappy customer

Sometimes the complaints are fully deserved. In this case, everything should be done to make the necessary corrections to prevent a repetition. On the other hand, a simple look at the user’s overall profile sometimes makes you realize that he/she never has anything good to say about anybody… Unfortunately, they are the ones to always be the first to voice their opinions. They are out to get revenge and to hurt the business at all cost.

Happy customers tend to stay quiet

However, it is well known that “Happy people don’t have stories…”. They very rarely let their happiness spill on the review sites. Consequently, we sometimes remind them that they should let their voice be heard in order to offset the many trolls out there. Most like the idea but only a fraction of them actually make good on their promise to put in their two cents…

Most importantly, if the overall review rating is as high as ours, you can actually be assured that it is indicative of the organization you want to deal with.

By the way, Yelp!, Google reviews, Facebook and Angie’s List are the most used review sites (Wink, Wink). All hopes are that you will let your opinion be heard loud and clear.

Another good reason to give us a positive review…

To tip or not, that is the question

What is the tips etiquette for a seamstress or a shoemaker? We can certainly agree that it isn’t clear to say the least.  On the other hand, we don’t have the same problem when we are dealing with a hair dresser or a waiter. So what is the golden rule then?

Be assured that we will not stop you if you want to reward the workers directly. But in all honesty, they appreciate the reviews much more than monetary tips. It sure is always pleasant to get a little bit of extra cash for a job well done but it is easily forgotten and quickly spent.

Reviews are the best form of flattery

We are specialists in a fading trade. Survival is always the first focus and worry. Above all, our employees appreciate anything that will generate them more work. And the easiest way to make this happen is to simply write a positive review. As a result, the worker will have a durable effect on its business. This type of reward will not only offset the squeaky wheels that do nothing but complain, but it will also insure your service provider will be there when you need them again.

Positive reviews = Food on the table

A few dollar tip will pay for a cup of coffee once maybe. A review will bring food to a whole group of people many times over. The awkwardness that comes with the question to tip or not to tip is easily avoided. Just leave that employee and/or the business a positive feedback. That will generate the traffic they need to make a living out of their talent.
