Why We Require the Discount at the Time of Invoicing

Traffic Lights Logo 137 KBWe design our promotions to encourage customers to bring in new work during the promotion period. To prevent any misuse of this opportunity, we do not allow discounts to be applied to old orders that have already been brought in before the promotion began. Allowing customers to hold off on paying for their order until a promotion starts would undermine the goal of bringing in new business.

Our prepay rule ensures that the discount is used as intended: to reward new orders placed during active promotions. Customers are not able to use the promotion as a way to save on previously submitted work or hold off paying for orders in anticipation of future deals. This way, each promotion works to drive fresh activity, not as a payment delay mechanism.

Furthermore, it’s important to note that the $50 minimum applies per order—previous orders or combined invoices cannot count toward the minimum. The promotion is designed to apply to a single order of at least $50 before taxes, ensuring fairness for all customers.

Hem Over Heels Scales of Justice 179 KB There Are No Exceptions to the Rules!

At Hem Over Heels, we take pride in offering promotions to our customers, but it’s crucial that everyone understands and respects the rules for redeeming discounts. We cannot accept any coupon or discount code after an order has already been submitted and is ready for pickup. This rule is clearly printed on all our coupons: customers must present the coupon at the time of drop-off and prepay for the order to apply the discount. The reason is simple: promotions are designed to encourage new business, not to be used retroactively. Once an order is completed, any attempt to apply a discount undermines the promotion’s purpose.

I understand that some customers may feel frustrated, but rules are there to ensure fairness for all. Coupons are valid for a specific time frame, and if customers bring them after that period or after their order has been placed, they can no longer be applied. Exceptions only create confusion and inconsistency.

It’s also important to note that intimidation tactics, such as threats of leaving bad reviews or telling friends not to patronize our business, will not change the policy. While we appreciate feedback, we stand firm on our rules, which are clearly communicated to prevent misunderstandings. Ultimately, maintaining these standards ensures fairness and transparency for all customers.
